THE LAST WALTZ

Blues / Country / Rock
An Orkney Spectacular - One Off Show

Considered one of the most “culturally and historically significant” concerts in musical history, The Last Waltz was the farewell gig of Canadian/American rock group “The Band”. Joined by special guests including Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, Neil Diamond, Muddy Waters and many more, the gig was made into a documentary film by Director Martin Scorsese.

Following in the footsteps of the Blues Brothers and Robert Johnson tributes at blues festivals past, “The Last Waltz” is designed not only to be a celebration of its namesake but as a celebration of some of our talented local artists.

Orkney’s “The Band” is John Dearness on guitar, Andrew Taylor on guitar, Kevin Kerr on Keys, Marcus Cordock on bass and Will Scott on drums, and will feature a whole host of special guests.

This is a one-off show and not to be missed.

Performing: Saturday Early Birds (20:45 - 21:45)
