We're proud to announce Animals and Friends have added Orkney Blues Festival to their 2023 European Tour, and we can't wait to welcome them to Orkney in September
Featuring from the original Animals founder – John Steel, joined by Danny Handley, Roberto Ruiz and Barney (Boogie) Williams.
The Animals remain a seminal rhythm & blues band who still command great respect internationally amongst their peers as well as from fans of all ages who instinctively respond so enthusiastically to such pivotal songs from The Animals catalogue such as 'We Gotta Get Out Of This Place', 'Boom Boom', 'Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood', 'Baby, Let Me Take You Home', 'I Put A Spell On You' and the bands' multi-million selling anthem and Number One hit across the world - 'House of The Rising Sun'.

Delighted to announce festival favourites, The Cinelli Brothers will return to Orkney Blues Festival 2023!

In 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 the band has been nominated for the UK Blues Awards as “Blues Band Of the Year”.
In January 2022 the record “Villa Jukejoint” was nominated for the UK Blues Awards as “Blues Album Of the Year”.
In January 2023 the record “No Country For Bluesmen” was nominated for the UK Blues Awards as “Blues Album Of the Year”.
In September 2022 the band won the UK Blues Challenge.
In January 2023 the bank ranked number 2 at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, US.
The Cinelli Brothers champion a new generation of passionate musicians sharing in the love of Blues, Soul, R&B and the true authentic sounds that have made the blues a cornerstone of music history.

We are thrilled to announce our second visiting artist appearing at Orkney Blues Festival 2023 - KYLA BROX.
Blues and soul become inextricably entwined in award-winning singer-songwriter, Kyla Brox, whose raw talent has seen her described as “the finest female blues singer of her generation”.Winner of the UK Blues Challenge 2018 and the European Blues Challenge 2019, voted Best Female Vocalist in the 2019 European Blues Awards and semi-finalist in the International Blues Challenge 2019 and 2020, Kyla Brox is at the very top of the UK Blues scene.

We are delighted to announce Rob Tognoni has added Orkney Blues Festival 2023 to his tour in the UK next year!
We have some really exciting announcements to make for next year, and to get us started with a bang, the Tasmanian Devil himself is set to rock Orkney Blues Festival with his band, in their first return to Orkney since 2006. Not to be missed.

BLUES FESTIVAL WEEKEND
As always, we'll be putting on a full schedule of free-to-enter blues gigs, jams and sessions throughout the pub venues in Stromness during the weekend, complemented by our new ticketed special performances and concerts. The festival weekend begins on Friday 22nd September early evening, all day on Saturday 23rd September, and all day on Sunday 24th September. Full festival details will be released in the run up to the festival.
