The Matt Long tribute album “With a little Help from my Friends” went on presale on Friday 7 November, which would have been Matt’s birthday. This will be a double coloured vinyl or double CD with 16 tracks, all but one being Matt’s original songs, performed by some of the most incredible artists on the UK and US blues and blues rock scene. These include Elles Bailey, When Rivers Meet, The Cinelli Brothers, Alice Armstrong, Brave Rival, Dom Martin, Sean Webster, Chantel McGregor, Will Wilde, Zac Schulze, Blue Nation, Katie Bradley/Dudley Ross and Adrienne Cowan of Avantasia, plus two of Matt’s guitar tutors Nic Meier (Jeff Beck band) and Nat Martin (Thomas Dolby, Living in a Box), Toyah, Robert Fripp). There are also solos from two of Matt’s music icons, Joe Bonamassa and Walter Trout... Pena's original version remained unreleased until 2000, with royalties from Miller's hit providing his main income later in life.
