Orkney Blues Events

Once again, our Blues BBQ night has proved to be a success, marking the opening of Stromness Shopping Week 2011 - and bidding farewell to the Tall Ships which visited Stromness as part of the Cruise in Company from Greenock to Lerwick.

The event took place on Monday 18th July and featured local artists; The D-Chords, The Fastliners, Slow Ride, Sticky Lizard and others who took part in the open jam session.

Committee member, Walter Gorman said " Many Thanks to the D-Chords, The Fastliners, Slowride, Sticky Lizard and everyone else who performed last night. Thanks to Colin Drever for manning the sound desk too. "

Over £600 was raised from generous donations, the raffle and the BBQ.
