The festival

The Orkney Blues Festival brings together local and national artists across multiple venues for a blistering weekend of blues music, year after year. Well worth coming along! 

All events are free of charge, with the exception of the Grand Finale at The Stromness Hotel. This event will host all of the Headlining Acts from the festival.

The committee operate Orkney Blues as volunteers, and do not make a profit. All funds go to providing bigger and better events - and attracting well-known and talented artists to the Orkney islands.

Orkney Blues was established in 2006 to develop and maintain a first class Blues Festival in the Orkney Islands. The committee is made up of local artists and blues enthusiasts and is supported by local businesses.

Orkney Blues has grown since then and we look forward to our biggest festival yet in 2012.
