Since they came together over a year ago, Katzwhiskies have been entertaining the public with their
unique mix of music. The group consists of Sheena Cameron on vocals with Dave Ellis and Mike
Henderson on acoustic and electric guitars.

Their repertoire rangesfrom the1920s bluesof Bessie Smith and Blind Blake, via the swing era of Hoagy Carmichael and George Gershwin, through to the works of contemporary songwriters and performers such as Steve Earle, Nanci Griffith and Paul Brady.

Traditional Scottish music is also given their own special arrangement guaranteeing an interesting and eclectic mix sure to be enjoyed by one and all.

Orkney Blues was established in 2006 to develop and maintain a first class Blues Festival in the Orkney Islands. The committee is made up of local artists and blues enthusiasts and is supported by local businesses.

Orkney Blues has grown since then and we look forward to our biggest festival yet in 2011.
